Beauty Sample Sale review on Yelp.com

I'd read about http://PrettyCity.com,  and wouldn't dream of denying my friends a "Beauty Sample Sale!"  I got there early...were greeted by a polite photographer, and the short line moved quickly through IDs, check-in and the gifting of a FREE GOODIE BAG.  I was immediately invited to have my face done with AIRBRUSHED MAKE-UP (http://StreamCosmetics...).  Ready for our close-up and feeling refreshed, we sauntered over to the FrancisRay Jules Salon station, where Ben Mitrano transformed my HUMID HAIR TO FLAT-IRON FABULOUS...all in about 15 minutes (http://FrancesRayJules...)!

Cosmos and Cosmetics

One night out you'll actually look better at the end of Rudy Giuliani’s daughter should have skipped her alleged Sephora shoplifting spree and come to Boston for an indulgent night of cosmetics and cocktails at the Beauty Sample Sale at the Estate Wednesday, September 15. Silly girl! From 6 to 9 p.m., elite hair-care, skin-care, and cosmetic brands are promising a “beauty bonanza for the ages,” giving guests a chance to snag the hottest products and indulge in complimentary beauty services from the industry crème de la crème. Goodie bags will be floating around, along with snacks for noshing—if you don’t mind smearing a little lipstick, that is.

It’s 21+, so … on second thought, that hot mess Caroline Giuliani wouldn’t be able to get in anyway! We hope she enjoys her community service while we’re lookin’ good up here in Beantown.

If you don't have plans next Wednesday...

Even in these lean times, $25 isn't so bad for a night out. Especially if it'll get you free mini-beauty treatments, massages and a bag of goodies at the end of the evening. (Did I mention the free cocktail and the candy buffet?) Prettycity.com and partners including SHAPE magazine, Stella & Dot, Plan B, Essence Boston, and others are hosting a beauty sample sale next Wednesday (the 15th) from 6-9 p.m. at The Estate (1 Boylston Place, Boston). There aren't too many details on the website, but I'm told the all-important swag bags will include products from KISS Nails, KIND Health Bars, CoolOff, Rescue Remedy, and assorted beauty samples. If you choose to go, you can buy tickets here. Space is limited.
